Looking for a 1366 cpu

Just wondering would anyone know where would be the best place to buy either an i7 920,930 or 950? Hoping to get one in and around the 200 mark if possible.

Well I am assuming that you already have a 1366 motherboard so i7 is your only option. Most i7 will cost at least €220 and then there will be shipping aswell so your best bet is to try and look for one second hand.

There are often a good few deals on adverts if you keep your eyes peeled but you will still be expecting to pay at least €150-170.

Might I suggest going for the new sandybridge i7-2500k for around the same price as an i7-930. Problem is that you will need to motherboard to go with it.

Anyhow, try www.skinflint.co.uk when trying to look for deals in europe.

The problem is I have the motherboard and ram and my watercooling loop set up around it and plan to upgrade too ivybridge or bulldozer and both should have triple channel ram support so it would mean selling my 12gb ram just to buy it again at the end of the year.
In pic only have 6gb installed as the motherboard only has 3 slots. As you can see my system is just about finished. Only thing missing is an ssd, cpu and three black sata cables.

The cheapest i've seen an I7 for is about 280 plus delivery so 220 plus del. I would be fine with that. I was supposed to buy one on adverts wednesday but the person sold all his bits in a package so missed out on it

If it was a DO Stepping I would buy it, its a CO stepping so would be the worst 1366 chip for overclocking
