So, I'm gonna move to the Middle East & I'm thinking of getting an FJ Cruiser.

I don't have a question. Just sayin, like...

In the mean time the 159 will be going up on Carzone.

I could never, EVER buy a car with an interior that ugly. I don't care what it is.

Wait until the diesel one is launched...

No need for diesel, where I'm going petrol is cheaper than water. I'm even gonna strap an eco hippy to the front grill...

Christ thats ugly. Amazon is the thing to drive over there.

I fell in love with them over in the States. Absolute beasts.

Ah to live somewhere where retard government policies aren't forcing people down to 1 litres.

I don't know what an amazon is. But the idea of the FJ is that it is brutal and utilitarian. The opposite of what you would want for Irish roads.

re: Amazon. Prior to the current model, the 80 and 100 series landcruiser. Very big in Oz and the Middle East.

    Modified 80 series

    The 100 - like mine

    Both extremely capable vehicles.

I'm sure its very capable. But the styling is a bit mundane for me. I want a car that I can love as much as an Alfa, but I don't think there is an equivalent over there...

The UAE is the new Sin City. Everyone I know out there is smashed drunk more than we are here at home!

edit: @blue, that first vid is unnatural!

There's no problem getting a drink over there. Theres more clubs in Dubai than there is in Dublin at the moment...

Can you speak Russian? I need a sidekick who can speak Russian...

It may even be possible to get a Hummer. I've been having a look at www.dubizzle.com & they are relatively affordable - but the fear would be that they've been rallied around the desert. A Porsche Cayanne could also be within reach, but either of those cars will cost allot to look after...
