Whats happening at Setanta 1 ?
I have noticed over the last number of weeks that the programme listing rarely bear relation to what is on , and on a number of ocassions the listing for Setanta 1 has been the same as Setanta Ireland.

At the moment the listings say 'Golf Central' but an FA Cup match (Leeds/Arsenal) is been shown.

Is the channel being wound down ? very few exclusives eg premiership matches , shown now on the channel

Been on life support since the loss of the Magners' League, I would have thought. Does come in useful sometimes though:

    * Sometimes, depending on the race, Formula 1 qualifying clashes with the Premier League.
    * FA Cup weekends when Setanta Ireland has a ton of football (which they have to show on Setanta Ireland, else people without Setanta 1 will just watch on ITV or ESPN).
    * Some Top 14 matches get shown on Setanta 1.

The problem is Setanta have too little sports to sustain two channels full time, but too much to close Setanta 1 completely. The problem is twofold - UPC doesn't really support red button applications, add to which, if Setanta 1 was closed down the remaining UPC Setanta subscribers would cancel (cause they get Setanta Ireland included in the basic package).
