    Something terrible happened recently. :(

My best guy mate has been going out with a girl for a while now. I friends with the girl and she's absolutely lovely. I've been friends with the guy for years and years and always loved our friendship because it was never more than friendship. Nearly always, for me anyway, when I'm friends with a guy one of likes the other or used to or something silly like like that but with him he was always almost like one of the girls and we were really good friends. I've slept in his house and in other houses with him lots of times, like after parties and stuff. Often in the same bed or couch or floor. So a few weeks ago a few of us where up in his house after being out. Everyone was really drunk. I hardly remember most of the night! Me and one of the girls went to bed in his room and just went asleep (passed out really)
This kinda thing happens all the time really. But then after I don't know how long, he came up to bed. I don't remember how it even started, but we were kissing and we had sex. I don't remember most of it because I was so drunk but I do remember him mostly initiating it and being more into to it than I was. I even didn't really know who it was for a minute!

And now it's all a big horrible awkward mess. The whole group dynamic with all our friends isn't the same.
He told his girlfriend straight away and they broke up but now she's given him another chance. It probably won't work out though. How could it. And now I'm hearing that all her friends, who I would kind of be friends with it, really do not like me. I'm afraid what's going to happen when I see them out. Also I can't really hang out with the guy which is **** because he is my best friend.

I also apologised to the girl but there's nothing I could or can say that makes it okay

I know it's my fault, partly, and it was a horrible thing to do.

I just don't know what to do now

Sorry OP but what exactly are you asking here?

I'll give you one bit of advice for nothing though. Don't drink so much you can't account for your actions or are not willing to accept 100% responsibility for them

Just what I should do really...

And people's opinions on it in general

I can't really offer advice as such, but to say I can see it from both sides, and I do sympathise with ur situation given I've done so many things drunkenly that I would never ever do soberly in a million years.

Unfortunately when u drink so much there's nobody to blame but yourself which is hard to accept but you have no choice. Sorry if I'm sounding harsh but it's the truth

You'd hardly expect everyone to forgive u readily... I'd imagine you wouldn't be so forgiving if you were one of her friends?

Personally I find time is the only cure, for your sanity at least.

    What you should do?

Don't drink so much you're not willing to, or capable of, taking responsibility for your actions. Don't blame him for having sex with you. It takes two to tango. You're just as responsible as he is regardless of whether he was more 'into it' than you.
Me and one of the girls went to bed in his room and just went asleep (passed out really)
This kinda thing happens all the time really.

That's not normal and it's not healthy. You have a drinking problem. Not being able to remember parts of the night or behave yourself in a normal manner when you drink means you have a problem.

Cut down on the drinking. Behave yourself like you normally would when you do. Don't fcuk other peoples boyfriends. Don't expect people to be sympathetic to your 'plight' because you're 100% responsible for what happend. Clean up your act and make sure it never happens again.

    That's about it.

Yeah you're all right. I was thinking the same really. It's just that my friends who I've spoken to about it haven't really said much because they don't wanna offend me or whatever I guess.

Time is the only thing that'll help it I guess.. And I will stop getting that drunk. Not worth it at all.

    Thanks.
