Nintendo Wii - blue screen on small telly

I am trying to use a Nintendo Wii on a little TV (14 inch, 4:3) but I am getting a blue screen, and hearing sound fine.

I assume the Wii is trying to output to 16:9 and its not working, or the TV is just too small.

    Any ideas?

The size of the TV wouldn't make any difference. I guess it's possible the set doesn't support 60 Hz, maybe try setting the Wii to 50 Hz and try again.

I think you can reset the display, if you dont have another TV, by turning the Wii on with no video cable plugged into it, then plugging it in afterwards.

Is it a newish TV? Coz i think some TVs have replaced the "snow" with that blue screen that means no signal. So make sure your wires are all in the correct holes. Actually, do you have the 3 wire RGB cable that came with the Wii?
