Does anyone know if Sky Atlantic will just be broadcast in HD or will it also be broadcast in Standard Def?

I have a perfectly functioning CRT television that I see no need to replace until it reaches end of life, so it's not HD ready.

It'll be in SD as well as HD. I'm pretty sure on the date that it's launching the numbering of channels will change for HD customers so that e.g. Sky Sports 1 HD will be on 401 for them while SD customers will still have the SD version on 401. That way both the HD and SD versions of Sky Atlantic will be on (I think) 108, depending on which package you have.

Kudos on holding onto the old TV btw, nothing better than a CRT. :D

I think Sky 3 on channel 108 is changing to Sky Atlantic, so it will be in SD. There's a thread here already about it.

    thats right,
There is something in the Boxs that will switch HD to SD depending on you package, So there will only will be one channel instead of two. eg SKY 1 and SKY HD
