Or just press the Quote button, read it, then go back. Easier than having to copy and paste.

But you still can't read it on an iOS device.

I find the best option is press and hold quote and choose open in new page. Means the thread doesn't have to reload when you hit back, and there's no faffing around with select, copy, paste.
