Was Knocked off the bicycle at lunch time in dublin city centre, driver at fault, loads of witnesses, everyone implicated the driver was in the wrong, but the driver realised what he did (clearly as i flew across his bonnet onto the ground) but unbelievably he just drove off without stopping, car was northern reg, reported it to the gardai, including the reg number, witnesses gave a statement too, can the gardai trace him if he's northern reg??

Same thing happened to me earlier in the week, I was walking though, cars coming up the road so the car couldn't move I walked in front of the car seeing as it was safe to do so and he accelerated and I fell over onto the bonnet  car drove off, witnesses in cars and stuff, but when I went to the guard (only up the street) everyone had either gone or moved on due to traffic.

Went to Pearse street the next day and the guard told me we were both in the wrong and she was quite snotty with me too. The guy that owned the car didn't even pick up the phone, nothing else is going to be done, quite mad about it, you're lucky you have witnesses though.

    I hope you're ok! :) xx

Cheers a bruised ego is all, but im annoyed that this guy (business man by the looks of it) obviously thought because he wasnt in the 6 counties he could simply drive off.

    That's quite an assumption there.
