If Cowen goes today or tomorrow surely the gardai should be dragging him, Fitzpatrick and the other anglo people at this dinner in for questioning. No 'inquiries', 'reports' or 'tribunals'....bring him straight down to the garda station. Nobody believes this absolute nonsense about there being no discussion of anglo at the dinner...you have the taoiseach and several of the top men in a bank that is in very big trouble getting together for several hours and yet they didn't talk about the bank???... for god sake, I think Berties 'I won it on the horses' excuse is even more believable than that. If Cowen's decision making was corrupted because he was in the pocket of Anglo he should be up in court over it. Cowen and FF have cost the country countless billions and the general consensus now is that it wasnt all through innocent stupidty. So what are the chances we finally see some corrupt politicians facing justice and getting a spell behind bars?

yes, that's a great idea but aren't Judges appointed by the President, acting on the binding advice of the Government(Fianna Fail for the last 20 years)
Isn't it time CAB siezed Abbeyville,Inishvickillane and the mammy's house in drumcondra.
In my opinion fingers, seanie, biffo etc should all be locked up in the da same cupboard as bertie hopefully after getting 100 lashes across their bare arses from the cat of nine tails.
Anyone that was ever a member of fianna fail should have their assets seized by CAB, anyone that ever voted for fianna fail should have to pay and extra €10000 in tax per year.
Fianna fail should be regarded as an illicit organisation and severe jail terms should be given to any known members.
If you want to reduce public sector numbers then you should get rid of all the fianna fail apointees.
let's hope they go the way of the Dodo after the next election.
Who will explain to the next generation why Irish people kept fianna fail in power for almost 80 years

[Cynicism]It'll never happen, the higher - ups are untouchable, but for example if someone on the dole has a nixer, they'll be harshly penalised.[/Cynicism]

Would never happen, sure you saw the way the Gardaí immediatly ripped down the banners that guy had on the mixer lorry and cherry picker outside Leinster House.

Somebody needs to inform them about free speech and that it is not their job to remove signs that disagree with the government

Not cynicism. Not just the higher ups. Good luck seeing justice being brought to anybody who is part of the establishment in this country. Look forward to the guard in Limerick who just drove down and killed two pedestrians being cleared, regardless of whether he was to blame.
