i am thinking of getting one of these cars, its main advantages to me are it has an auto box, it has a high and comfortable drivers seat, which i can enter and exit easily, any thing else does not matter, bar the fuel consumption, which i know nothing about, my annual milage would be in or about 8,000,

ugly and most likely unreliable. but thats stereotyping fiat isint it

do you need 6 seats particularly?

I ran a manual diesel for 7 years from new, 60,000 miles, no problems.

Well, OK, towards the end, a couple of minor niggles, a cracked fuel filter leaked diesel and cooked the starter motor, and I think the turbo was on its way out when I got rid.

Oh, I had some pot-hole related front suspension issues, too.

I would recommend the car. I don't know anything about the auto box.

Apparently a good car, but not very pretty.

But if you're considering it, then it can't be high on your list of priorities.

    Parkers on the multipla

That site will tell you facts and figures, and has owner reviews also. Most reviews seem decent...3 to 4 stars out of 5.

Asthetics aside, they are a very good car and more reliable that some of the Fiat Stereotypers would have you believe :D

looks do not matter, the auto box is most important, the high comfortable drivers seat which i can enter and exit easily is another plus, also the price is very right as i do not require the assistance of a finance house, thanks for your help,

Does it have FSH? If so, and you do all your checks then you should be getting a lot of car for your money.

Saw a lot of them as taxis last time I was in Italy, agree that it wouldn't win any beauty contests but functionally they do what it says on the tin. They have lots of interior space and as a former Fiat owner (Bravo 96-01) I can say that the naysayers probably never owned a Fiat, they are a reliable car.

Sadly the Fiat reputation means that the residual value lets them down, hence I now drive a Golf but if you buy a secondhand Fiat, it has already taken the depreciation hit so for my money it would be a good secondhand buy, maybe buy new but only if you intend to keep it for at least five years, otherwise you'd be mad not to buy secondhand.
