4%, so if you were getting €196 you now should be getting €188

If you are claiming for a Qualified Adult also there would be an €8 reduction for you and a €5.30 reduction for the Qualified Adult.

I still don't understand, I work and my husband is the same as the OP and he is down €13.30 on jobseekers but what is claiming for a qualified adult? why would he be claiming anything for me?

The Budget reduced the means allowed to a couple from €326.10 to €312.80 per week (reduction €13.30) which explains your husband's reduction and possibly the OP's if he/she isn't claiming for an unemployed spouse also.

as ceejay says spouse partner civil partner (is a contrary lover an uncivil partner??discuss!!!) live in boyfriend/girlfriend, oh etc etc who lives with you and is wholly or partially dependent on you (financially). SW determine to what extent, if any, they are dependent on you by means testing them i.e. investigating the partners financial affairs. its quite complex with a sliding scale of payments according to the means of the partner. SW rates of payment 2011 book is available now at all Citizens Information centers, free.
