First time buying a camper

    Hi,

Need some advice as to what to look for when buying a camper.

I am going to have a look at the following camper:

    http://www.gumtree.ie/dublin/01/63363801.html

My plan is to drive around Ireland for 2 months in August and September, hitting some festivals, surfing and just enjoying our home country.

What does DOE mean? Also what is the motor tax like on campers? Insurance?
Should I get an engineer to have a look at the engine before buying it as the last thing I want is a break down.

    Thank you :D

the price seems a bit on the high side for 94! always a good idea to get someone with experience to give it a good look over. i dont think it needs a doe if its registered as a camper.

DOE means test for Commercials,as in NCT for cars.
For that money you would get something far better. You'd probably be better with a Ford Transit,Fiat Ducato or VW for reselling again,or even for getting spare parts etc.
That LDV Sherpa would be dear at €1500.:o
