Does anyone remember an old (late 70's) american TV show - it appeared to be set somewhere like Yosemite Park as there was a lot of rockclimbing and climbing huge trees like sequoias in it.

Might have been somewhere else though. That's all I can remember I'm afraid.

It was called Sierra and centred on a mountain rescue crew in a national park. I thought I was the only person to remember this show:

The theme song was written by John Denver too.

Great thanks for that! Early but awesome memories indeed - I was probably 7 or 8. I'll have to keep an eye out for it.

I think I can barely remember this from early 1981.

Was there an episode of a young lady taking photos of herself when an earthquake struck and another of a charactor telling the story of his grandfather, a Native American who was lost in Death Valley?

Anyone remember this series which was either set in Canada or Alaska and about a park ranger. It was shown on RTE in the mid to late 80's but it was obvious that it was made in the early 70's.The opening sequence showed a montage of images including a red Indian tepee on fire.I think the lead role was played by Chuck Connors but I may be wrong.

I wouldn't call it John Denver best work.

I suspect it may have been Kodiak. RTE did show it about that time. It started Clint Walker. It was not a big hit though and lasted only one season. It was from the 1970s. He was a dark haired well built man and extremely tall.

I remember William Shatner was in an episode as a forest worker who is knocked out felling trees in an explosion and comes round thinking hes back in the Korean War and goes on the rampage.

Theres another where at the end Kodiak has to land a small aircraft directed over walkie talkie by a young Native American Vetnam War veteren with long hair parted in the middle.

    I hope that this helps.

Kodiak.Thats it.It's all coming back to me now.I remember the one with William Shatner as the war vet.The main character had a sidekick too I think. An elderly Inuit or Native American man.
