im totally confused .. can somebody please tell me.. if you are assessed for means test for jobseekers allowance.. what is the limit of your means before they will pay out???
ie i am unemployed but my partner works.. they have assessed my jobseekers allowance based on his earnings and i have received letter stating his total weekly means is Eur 298.. thats all the letter says... there is no indication if that means im not entitled to JA.. or if I am.. etc etc.. so I need to know is the fact my spouse earns 298 p week going to stop me being entitled to JA??

I'm not too sure about this one. There is more information on www.welfare.ie

The rate payable is the weekly Jobseeker's Allowance rate less the means. If your means are more than the Jobseeker's Allowance weekly rate, there is no entitlement to payment.
The JA rate for a couple above 25 is €312.80
So i'm guessing it's 312.80-298.00= your JA payment.
