Hi all, i'm a 2nd year science student and i'm wondering whats the story about missing labs, in my case im talking about Zoology labs. How many are you allowed to miss per semester/year ? It's just that i missed two Zoology labs last semester, one of which i had a sick note for and I know that i will be missing at least one more this semester due to me being away for a week.

    Thanks :)

I think the best advice is to talk to the lecturer directly as they're the person best placed to answer your questions reliably! Most lecturers are understanding about this sort of thing and sometimes will allow you to sit into another lab session (if there's more than one per week that is) to catch up.

I was in hospital sick last semester, missed about 4 labs and they let me off for 2 when I gave them a cert. Other then that I was marked 0. Not sure if they allow you 2 per year or per semester but unless you can get a cert you'll definitely be marked 0.
