Pain and sensitivity

I went to the dentist because i noticed a pit in one of my teeth and a slight irritation just before the new year. The dentist cleaned my teeth and said the pit wasnt a cavity, but the irritation I'm feeling was coming from my gums. I've been brushing more often and more toroughly since, and using a recommended mouthwash. Since the cleaning however, I'm noticing tingling pains in my teeth around the tooth that initially caused me to go to the dentist as well as that tooth, and increased sensitivity, even when I'm not brushing, eating or drinking (little twangs every now and then, nothing too painful but enough to worry me - dental problems always worry me more than other health issues)

My next appointment isn't for a few weeks, and I'm wondering if anyone has any advice here? Any idea what could be wrong?

Return to your dentist ASAP and give your concerns, if not 100% satisfied get a second opinion. We cannot say if anything is wrong from your description
