320D efficient dynamics

I'm due to change my car and instead of buying new, I'm thinking of getting a second hand 320D efficient dynamics model, 09 or maybe even 10 if I can stretch to it. A family member sells BMWs in the UK and can look out for one for me. I'm hoping that when the 11 reg comes in that they'll get some into stock.

I drive 500 miles a week in my work commute so the mpg aspect appeals to me never mind the cheap road tax. Is there anything I should be wary about or look out for in terms of choosing this model? Thanks.

Anyone got any advice? Might think that family member = good but it's an inlaw/ outlaw (and he is a car salesman:D) so better be safe than sorry.

I drove an 08 one last week for about a day and it was a nice step up from my old punto. My brother was bringing in a new model 520 from the uk and also the 320 so i did him a favour and drove it back to save him having to go back over.

As someone who has no real experience of modern diesel cars, i couldn't get over the mpg and the performance of the car. It was still reading 50 mpg when at a fairly good speed on the motorway.

I assume if your going for an 09 then you'll have another year of the bmw warranty, so it would take the pressure of in terms of worry.
