2 Call of Duty Game`s this year

Apparently Sledge Hammer Games are developing a Call of Duty in space, which is part of a new contract with Activision, the game will apparently keep aspects of CoD in it, like Crow`s nests for sniping, buildings, vehicles to blow up etc and all that shizz, the game will also not take away Call Of Duty`s engine, which was used for MW2 and Black Ops and will continue to use this engine and its components (XP Bar, HUD, Reticles), the game`s time set is unknown but since MW2 was set in 2016 and it had heart beat sensors and thermal scopes, we can be that far off a futuristic game set in 2030

Modern Warfare 3 has apparently gone under production with the new staff of Infinity Ward I like to call The Ward 2.0, has announced they had big plans of taking over from their ex-co workers and have apparently began to make the game, early reports (from 2009) said IW shipped their servers to canada for the games production however the team have not left their original location in Cali.
MW3 like Call of Duty: space Adventures (my name for it) will be using the 3.0 engine for it, the game will apparently be taking in coding from black ops to avoid any coding exploits left from MW2 (care package glitch etc) and they have hired a security team insisting though they wont admit they f*cked up Mw2, Robert Bowling is still part of the new IW along withe 20-30% of the old team, they probably hired fast, since they had work adds in the EDGE magazine, the game will apparently be set all around the world following two factions (i can only assume Price and Soap along with the US Rangers) the games story isnt revealed neither is one spec of multiplayer, though a trailer will probably be out in april

pretty sure sledgehammer are developing an MMO type CoD game. Its against activisions interests to release 2 games at the same time (If they're to be released this year it wont be until nov/dec). So yeah, I dont think we'll have 2 games this year.

Pretty sure IW have announced the next MW is a prequel to the 2nd but a sequel to the first? I'm not buying any "space adventures", I fúcking hate all things Sci-fi other than Star wars to be honest.

Just re-do COD4 maps with all the perks of Black Ops and the weapons and non-stackable killstreaks of MW2. Job done.

None of this faffing about with space/prequel/semi-prequel/alternate timeline/time travel pap that game developers are spewing out to slack-jawed, crusty-skinned, perpetual pubescent troglodytes who will gladly throw their parents money at any new game. There is a more cohesive and gripping plot in the ingredient list of discount salad cream than in most FPS campaign storys.

Stick in a horde of zombies in the campaign or better yet as DLC and the yearning masses will worship whatever d*** cheese flavoured offal that a company will produce for years. Now where is my royalty cheque? I need it to buy skin cream and to re-wire my jaw.

PS. I stubbed my toe seconds before this so this explains my vent of spleen on the subject.

Call of Duty is going to slowly die this year.. I mean come on Call of Duty in space... ARE YOU SERIOUS... This is going to be bad, very bad... And its coming by someone who has never even made a call of duty game.. (also a team I have never even heard of)... All I can say is bye bye call of duty :)... Hello Killzone 3 :P

EDIT: Yes Headshot its about time they did that, but it seems there like 3 call of duty titles too late...

CoD set in the future would be mad, imagine it, weapons with thermal sights, missiles you can control from a laptop. guns you can set up that fire at people by themselves. nuclear bombs you can bring in at the push of a button. emp weapons..

    who'd want any of that?

Is there a technical reason for not having dedicated servers or is just that they presume its only 10 year olds that play on consoles?

    Oh god! So... much..... +1!!!!!!!!

    <multi thank button badly needed>

Activision are tighter than a 3 yea.... eh..... tight. Very tight.
They make more money than GOD for eacg COD game and yet wont set up dedicated servers. Their argument is that each cod game has lasting appeal and at the end of 5 years they would have a huge amount of servers to maintain seeing as numbers for COD games would never really reach low enough to allow a full turn off unlike sports titles.

Bottom line is they SHOULD have dedicated servers for say 3 years after the game release then shift twords a p2p set up for the elder game years.
Alas activision and Bobby Kotec couldnt give a **** seeing as they are greedy as fcuk. They are a money making machine and THATS their focus, good games and ideas are way down the list to them and its showing in the COD serise. They will rehash the same basic game for as long as it makes money in wheel barrow loads. A GOOD publisher will encourage fresh ideas being impolanted on the back bone of the solid game but activision do the opposite, they encourage against changing a title too much.

    Haha, don't go there!!

If you look at the way Valve support their games *sigh*. . . one can only with for that in a COD game.

Every other time I run steam I get some new update for the likes of CSS and TF2.

    Great dev :)

No doubt we'll see stupid stuff like armor lock and hover crafts. Its just going to be Halo with an AK47 in it :(

Im pretty sure the space thing was a joke tho, i think NextGenTactics had a video on youtube about this a while ago. Sledgehammer are developing a more MMORPG type of CoD game.... **** knows what that'll turn out like... least it'll have to be run on dedicated servers tho :D

I dont think you'll see another CoD title this year. Next year id say. Takes 2 years to make a game.

Honestly even if that is the case I dont mind. I am still playing MW2 (cause blops isnt fun, simple as) and I still have sooooo much to get out of it. Just focused on x2 challanges right now, been trying new game modes, perks , weapons and I still love that game. Its not an easy game to love but its certainly never ever boring thats for sure.

I have got a lot to do in it still and another year sounds like a good time frame for me to get all I want out of it.

Could'nt go back to the trash play you see in mw2. Tried out some SnD a few days ago. Bang, OMA tuber. The rounds after, i get stabbed by a super soldier with the Tac knife, commando & and lightweight.

    *Rage quits, back to Blops.

It can be tough to try and get over the mentality of some players alright. I only recently started playing DOM after a full year of nothing but MTDM and its a world apart. Its a **** tonne easier in DOM and the class of player realy reflects that, jam packed with danger close / OMA in some lobbies as opposed to a little less in MTDM. Seeing as YOUR the objective and always moving in MTDM you need to be a lot more aware of how your giving your position away and how you move where as in DOM these kids seem to want to camp out high traffic areas with danger close noob tube.

The upside is that in DOM at least if thats the class they run they really arent very good and easy pickings for my ak with silencer. The quick scoping can be a little fustrating seeing as there is no counter at all, if they hit you your dead thats it but I can forgive the game these flaws for the times when you flank the lot of them with an aa12 with extended mags....... oooooohhhhh my! :D
