Best video software for editing and recording?

Hey guys just want to know what you use For recording your CoD footage, I use WinTv`s Arcsoft cap module to cap but what do you guys use to edit your video`s and what not, I currently use Pinnacle Studio`s 12 but to be honest.....it sucks......hard, let me know, thanks. -Ghosty
