wasnt sure where to post this so mods feel free to move it if its in the wrong place. was just wondering would using magnets all the time (bracelets, magnetised water, under the pillow at night) be bad for your health?

dare i ask what magnetised water is?

and i can't imagine standard magnets being in anyway bad for your health. Though i certainly wouldnt recommend swallowing them, and definitely dont swallow the rare earth sort.

ask away! my father has a pot of water and puts it on a big magnet all day. he goes overboard with the whole magnet thing to be honest he has magnets everywhere. personally id be very sceptical about that kind of thing i reckon any health benefits are all in the head. his health isnt great at the minute and i was just wondering would overuse of magnets have any negative effects

And at the end of the day, he has a pot of water that has been sitting on a big magnet all day.
    He doesn't have "magnetised water".

Small magnets like the ones you're describing will almost certainly have zero impact on your health, negative or positive.

I got my husband a magnets bracelet in the hope that it would help his arthritis. Of course, it didn't, so he abandoned it. Last night I put it on going to bed, and about 1 hour later, I was surprised at the very pleasant arome of roses which seemed to come from my arm. No it wasn't perfume!
For the next 4 hours my bladder seemed to be irritated, meaning that I had to go the toilet every hour, barely getting back into bed, when I needed to go again. At 5am. I took the bracelet off, and washed the blackened skin, got back into bed, and no more irritation. What happened? Some years ago I had a situation where somebody gave me a crystal to hold, and it actually send shards of shock through my hand. Does anyone have a theory?

Would you have some sort of allergy to the material that the bracelet was made from?

Is the bracelet scented at all? Because if it's not, then there's no way that it's going to spontaneously start smelling of roses.

Whatever caused your 'irritated bladder', it wasn't magnets.

Magnets go in and out of fashion all the time- I suppose they appear slightly magical to some,

I remember reading a MCh Orth from the 70s looking at magnets and fracture healing, cannot say I was too impressed
