Management company want me to rip up my floors

    Hi Guys

I was wondering if anyone could help me. I live on the third floor in an apartment complex, I am the only apartment on that floor. The apartment below seem to have a leak on their celiene, and think It might be coming from my plumbing, I have an attick so I assume the majority of my pipes run through there. There is no visable sign of any leak in my apartment, but the management company want me to pay for a plumber to find the leak.

I understand the apartment below, as they have damage to their home.

But I don't understand why I have to get a plumber and maybe rip up the floors and then find it wasn't my pipes.

    Any advice??? :)

Yip ask them to go through the ceiling below for start. If its easy to spot it will only cost a plaster 100 euro to fill the hole and a coat of paint then. The leak could be traveling along the floor from somewhere else... which is most probable.. I would start by looking under bath panels and kitchen sinks.

Agree with Joey. Start with the ceiling below, and see if it can be seen where the water is coming from. Much cheaper to do, considering the ceiling will need to be repaired anyway.
