Internet usage meter by program

    anyone know of a preferably free meter that tracks each program using the internet and its usage? the google machine isn't throwing up much results

    Comodo firewall

    Had it installed when I was using XP, worked great as a firewall, depending on how you set it - it can alert you anytime apps want to use the 'net. Can be great for blocking pesky 'phone home' requests ;)

    Never actually used it as a dedicated download/upload monitor, but AFAIK it did show stats for each app (found it whilst randomly clicking around)

    cheers, i'm already using ZoneAlarm Firewall, but i think some program (suspect it's MSE) that access the internet through another system program that has access. i've told it not to update or join Spynet, but it checked for updates when i didn't want it to.

    might give comodo a try, cheers
