Hi,

I'm having problems running skype on the iPhone with Vodafone (over 3G), and from what I can tell some other people are having the same problems. It's not just limited to skype, LogMeIn doesn't work, and also a lot streaming radio station apps don't work. Usually these apps start off ok, but failed very quickly.

All of these apps work fine on o2 (I have an unlocked iPhone) or on Wifi.

I've tried different APNs, and I don't have any age restrictions on my account, so I don't understand why it appears to work for some, but not other.

The person in this post here can clearly run skype without problems:

But there's a massive thread on the vodafone site with people that can't:

Who here can run skype over 3G (Wifi turned off) on Vodafone?
Have you changed your APN? (if you don't know what this is, you haven't)
Are you prepaid or postpaid?
What package are you on?

Me. ALthough it doesnt work flawlessly all the time. but i'd put that down to 3g coverage

Haven't needed to... have you tried the hs.vodafone apn? ring vodafone and ask them to send it to you

Access 300 or something or other

On vodafone bill and can use skype and logmein fine.
Live Apn
On vodafone control package.
