The BBC today signed a three year extension deal to provide coverage for The Masters, The World C'ships?, The Welsh Open and UK C'ships, further proof that Barry Hearns involvement in the game is reaping rewards. The World Open which was covered by the BBC in October will however not as it is being held in Asia this year.
Snooker looks like finally going global as the forthcoming season will see more events held overseas than in the UK.Signs that the game is increasing again in popularity.
