HELP - P35L

    Hi all,

This may sound kinda basic but due to the whole accounts department being out sick I have to complete a P35 for one of the companies this week. I know the date is normally 15th Feb but as we fell behind in payments last year the revenue are saying they want the return by Friday. I have read the instructions and have the print off's from Sage Line 50 with the info required and am feeling VERY accountant like. So I start the form and two things:

    1. Do I need a start date for every employee or just the ones that started in 2010?

    2. The Sage Line 50 report for the P35 gives a breakdown of weeks PRSI. This is very confusing. I obviously can fill in the total weeks on the form but according to the report I have there can be a few different classes and they can be at A1 A0 Al Jo etc....??

Your comments would be very much appreciated!

I find it hard to believe that the Revenue want the P35 a full month early even if you were late last year. Are you sure its not the P30 you are referring to? The due date for submitting the P30 for December 2010 / October-December 2010 is the 14th January.

With reference to your specific P35 questions:

    1) Start dates for employees who started during 2010 only

    2) Depending on how much an employee was paid each week, they can be in different PRSI classes for different weeks. There is a section on the P35 to complete for initial class during year as well as any additional classes that the employee was in.

Thanks for your reply. I am sure it is the P35. They want it in so that we can arrange to up our monthly DD to cover the shortfall for 2010 over 12 monthly payments in 2011.

Thanks a million for your help.
