    Saturday 19th Feb.
The Red Barn Airsoft 'Golf' Classic
This will be our second Target shooting competition
This will be a marksmanship competition in the style of a golf course.
Our first competition was met with great success and this time around we expect it to be bigger and better.
Entry is not restricted to members, but non members will need to sign a waiver form to allow them on site.
Entry fee will be €15 per entrant.
Sign in will commence at 9.30 and we hope to have the first '4 ball' 'tee-off' at 10.45.
Each player will shoot at 18 static target boards placed out and around the complete site. Targets will be of various distances and degrees of difficulty. While the majority will be standing shots.
some will need to be shot at in the prone position and some in a kneeling position.
Each target will be given a ‘Par’, based on its distance and level of difficulty . Players may not exceed the number of shots (Par) on any given target.
The player’s objective is to hit the target in the least amount of shots under the par allowed for the specific target.
If a player fails to hit the target inside the par , he/she is deemed to have missed the target and may not take any more shots at that target.
In the event of a tie there will be a play off to decide the ultimate winner and Top Marksman for the day.
    Marshals decision is final.
There will be some prizes and awards for the finalists.
Bragging rights for the winner… most important.
And a bit of craic for everyone.

There will be No skirmishing on this day.

No real point in using multiple aegs , but if you fancy lugging them around as you walk the targets then by all means.

Some nice little prizes for the top marksman and sharpshooter thanks to Richard in Hobby Airsoft who generously gave (of his own free will;))

And Alan in Strike Arms for a KWA Glock 19 GBB.:)

    Hey Dobby,

I was a first-time visitor to Redbarn on Saturday, brought my 2 boys along to the Golf event. I have to say I was impressed by the site, and I look forward to a proper skirmish there. More than that however, I was bowled over by the welcome extended by the regulars to us three noobs. Whether it was unstinting help with technical issues (thanks Bob, and Dave, and Ralf for the battery assistance, and Dave in particular for letting my eldest use his back-up aeg) or general guidance, and just making us feel welcome (take a bow Ronan, Pete, and Ciaran O'Connor); you have a thoroughly decent bunch around you out there! Thanks again for a great day!
