Snowboard/Downhill MTB in NZ

    If i wanted to get some Snowboarding and Downhill Mountain Biking in while in New Zeland where would be best to base yourself?? Auckland?

    Anybody do both over there?
    what are there seasons for both?

    any advice would be great.

    Queentstown, Near killed meself doing MTB there, but awesome. Was only there in summer but I would imagine winter would be fantastic.

    Thanks for that, Funny the first pic you have looks exactly like the site the guy at http://www.cameralabs.com uses for all his reviews... must be a viewing spot?

    Ill check out queenstown now.
    was there uplifts for the bikes?

    Queensland is the place to visit in winters as there are places where you can ski even in summers. So imagine what would a winter can offer you.
