... and can change the name on my flight for free?

I've been booking a load of flights for different people attending my brothers stag, and I stupidly booked myself twice!
Dont fancy paying the 100 euro name change fee..

Thought it would be worth a try :)

PM me if you think you could help, thanks

    +1

They've corrected the wrong spelling in a name for me no problem. No grovelling required at all, even though I was expecting to need to do a lot of it!! So hopefully, they'll be understanding in your situation too.

I tried this but this but the guy was straight to the point..
'fixed terms and conditions etc etc'.

its more than just a spelling correction aswell.. Its a full name unfortunately.

If someone from ryanair contacted me and helped me out, that would prove ryanair customer service exists.. lets see what happens :)

Well if it's a full name change and not just a spelling mistake i'm afraid to say you will have to pay for it..lesson to be learnt!!

As I have pointed out several times before, I am convinced Ryanair are actually doing us a favor by charging €100 per name change. Imagine what would happen if they were not to: Whenever a good offer comes around, sneaky travel agents would snatch up all the good tickets, booking in the name of "John Doe". Then they would resell those tickets at a premium, changing the name to whoever buys them from the agent. The €100 fee prevents this from happening - and I am all for that.

Sure people will make genuine mistakes and get caught out... Really, it is down to paying attention and being careful what you type in. In OP's case, I am surprised the Ryanair website did not catch this automatically. They normally detect duplicate bookings with identical names and flight details and pop up a message warning you of your mistake. If you manage to ignore that or if it somehow does not pop up, you end up paying the €100 fee and learning a lesson...

Id try customer srvice again, but make sure to highlight the fact that you already have a booking in your name which you do not wish to cancel or change, I'm sure I've heard of someone getting this changed before.

    thanks for that Zuroph.
You were right. I went about it the wrong way.
I called them again and simply said I duplicated my booking, and they refunded me..

On a side note, does anyone know if refunds are possible to prepaid mastercards?

Delighted to hear it worked out for you. See, they're not as bad as the reputation some people give them!

Don't know what the story is with prepaid card refunds. contact service provider?
