Should still be ok to import (I don't think the import ban is being unforced yet). Just make sure it's under 1J and is sent by courier (Redwolf only ever seem to use couriers anyway). Oh and you'll need a cheque for the Vat and courier's admin fee (for running your package through customs) when the driver arrives. They'll either ring you up and tell you the amount when it's gone though their customs or you'll have to phone them up in the afternoon when it arrives over here.

Not that I'm aware, they (UPS, TNT and FedEx, from my experience at least) have always said cheque only as payment for COD but there's no harm in asking if they'll take cash or maybe a postal order if you can't get to a bank to get a bank draft.

hmmmm.... you know I've never actually thought of asking if I could pay the vat and admin fee by card! :o They probably would, save them the hassle of screwing around with cheques and what not.

UPS accepts cash for COD from the Driver but
    they wont have change.

Beware of UPS though as you will nearly always end up paying vat/handling fees. Also there are the only courier where I've had delays or hassle with customs. I avoid using them whenever I can.

[EDIT: Woops sorry Just noticed the Irish retailer is out of stock!!
they had them a while back looking at the reviews someone bought
one around the 12th Jan so must have got the last one]
Save yourself the wait and the hassle and Support an Irish Retailer
you can get a Silver/Chrome Desert Eagle for Price: €194.99 and its a TM brand!!
    (probably get it quicker too)
May be worth your while asking some of the Irish retailers
if they can get you one.

If you buy the same product from Redwolf and you get Hit with VAT and handling fee you could
be looking at around the 225-230 Euro mark in Total!
177Euro for the Pistol including Delivery from Redwolf add 21-22% Vat which is 37ish Euro then add
a handling fee of 13-14 Euro (Also remember you pay vat on the total cost of the package ie the charge you vat on the postage cost!)
