    Hi all -

It's been a while since I've taken anyone in to the Book of Kells with my student card, trying to remember is it 2 guests or 3 you can take in? (Also presuming this is something one can still do - they haven't got rid of this little perk in a fiendish money-making attempt, have they?)

ETA: take in for free, I mean!

I brought in a group of 20 once. They were visiting from another university.

Meant can you take 'em in for free! Did you have to pay a group rate or were they all let in on one student card?

Yes, for free. AFAIC, there's no upper limit.

You could always come to my house - I've a hard back copy of the whole thing. No need to look at just whatever page they have open that day - you can flick through the whole thing.

You can bring 2 in for free with you any time, no problems. Used to be three but reality is there is some common sense particularly if you have a staff card

Be sure to have your id card to hand in the shop as well for a discount on stuff when you leave.

There is a mutual respect thing, students of TCD in the company of a student from the University of Oxford won't have any trouble getting into the Bodleian in Oxford where the tourists can't go. Other way around normally works. I got a readers ticket to the Bodleian very quickly once the official realised I was from TCD, got to visit supposedly closed to public colleges etc.
