This has received surprisingly little comment on the politics sub-forum. The long awaited hunt report was formally launched today. Probably its most significant position is that it backs a student loans or student fees system, which personally (having gone through it) I am entirely in favour of. The irish University system appears to me to be extremely weak and I cannot see how the public can continue to support it, even with the halfway measure of the introduction of back door fees as they currently stand.

I presume The Hunt report itself is available on the Department of education's website but since that site is currently down I cannot link directly to it.
