Has anyone else had problems with Mvision combo boxes

I've a Mvision HD300 Combo which has been a right pain in ass, occasional lock-ups until power is cut, occasional picture loss (usually on HD satellite channels).

If I was just unlucky then I'd like to get the HD300 Combo Net.

So I was wondering if anyone else were having trouble with their Mvision receiver?

Have a look through the Mvision HD200 thread. I have had a number of stability problems with the 200 model, particularly when connected via HDMI. I found it a great receiver with SD channels using SCART on a bedroom TV. It just seems to run out of horsepower when on HD and the firmware is flakey with me on HDMI and I couldn't rely on it to record from the EPG - sometimes ok, others not.
I've relegated it back to the bedroom until a stable box with dependable recording capability comes along.

I have the 200 and would agree with all of the above. The most annoying is the locking up entirely and having to power cycle. Also recording is very poor i.e. lip sync issues when watching a channel while recording another. When it works it works well but too many cons.

Mine was more prone to lock-ups until I glued a 80cm fan to the largest heatsink on the mainboard but lock-ups are becoming more regular these days.
