Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Sending a TV signal 200 metres

    Hi there,

My brother-in-law wants to send the signal from his calving camera (at his parents house) to his house further down the road. The only drawback is that his house is on the other side of the road so a hard-wired link isn't possible. I tried a cheap 5Ghz TV sender which said it could reach up to 100m in the hope that they were understating the capabilities of their unit ....but they werent.

What is the cheapest way to send the signal 200 metres wirelessly?

    Thanks in advance,

    Afro

Via the web? if both he and the parents have broadband.

    Maybe 2 of these

    along with an IP camera.

It would be a cheapish and reliable solution, but would need a PC on the recieving side to view/record

Aldi had wireless camera's a while back that were pretty good, they were cleared out almost instantly by the local farmers to use in sheds for lambing and calving. Not sure if they are effective at that distance though.
They tend to restock them fairly regularly,if that fails the ones posted above would work.
