Hi...please help.....I cant go back to hand washing the dishes!:)

The "Blades" of my dishwasher have stopped going round....you know the things that the water squirts out of!

Have cleaned the whole thing out and took out all the bits that coem out, put them back in and they still not going round.

Can anyone suggest what the problem might be or how I could fix it???

Can afford to call out a guy to come fix it..
    Thanks in advance

    try taking the blades out
    they usually unscrew
soak them in a sink of hot water
use nailbrush to unclog the small water holes on the blades(they can block up with debris/food)
    thats most likely your problem

If both arnt spinning isn't the most likely cause the wash motor not working ?

    motor does not spin them
pressure of water forces them around
if they are blocked ,they wont rotate

ok but what gives the water its pressure to spin them ? yes the wash motor

unlikely that both arms would be blocked with food ,

op post the make and model and are any lights illuminated or flashing ?

    I have a similar problem!

I have stripped down the dishwasher and there is a "clutch" between the motor and the pump impellor that is supposed to engage when the motor has got up to speed.

In my dishwasher it slips and is not engaging sufficiently to pump the water.

The clutch is two rubber wedges that are pushed against the inside hub of the impellor (a bit like a car brake drum)

It appears that it is not possible to just buy the impellor & clutch assembly (Whirlpool ADG 7???) on their own, just the whole motor/pump, despite being easily dismantled.

Any one have any suggestions as to how I can "fix" the clutch without replacing the whole unit. I'm reluctant to jam it in case the motor spins up in reverse and causes damage!
