    EDIT
I think I'll go foe the XPS 16 but I have another more straigh forward question. Will I see much of a performance boost with 6GB as opposed to 4GB (there's over €200 difference in the price)

I'm hoping to replace my dekstop with a laptop and I am caught beween the Dell XPS 16 or 17. I'd go for the XPS 17 except it has no Firewire port and no VGA output either (although I think you can get an adaptor for the mini Display port). However the 17 seems much better specced in terms of graphics card (a GT 445). Does anyone have any opinions on this? I really would like to continue to do video editing but I suppose I could do this on the old PC.
