    Hello to all,
I was wonder if it's possible to make a living out of playing the piano, either teaching it or doing some gigs, or is it only pipedream.
Has anyone made a living out of it or is it only of a sideline thing.
    Thanks all

Yes. If people can make a living teaching guitar and playing guitar, and guitar players are a dime a dozen, there's no reason why you can't do the same playing piano.
You may have to fall in with different types of groups for gigs, but that is no bad thing....

Cool, might be worth a go alright, maybe start as a side number and try build up then to full time.

That's the way. You can bet that when you start off, you'll get referrals. It's the same with gigs...
I know a guy who does it full time, and is turning down people for lessons, as he can't git them in. (guitar)
