I want to move My Documents to a partition but when I right click on My Documents under library>documents>my documents but no location tab is there, not even under safe mode. Does anyone know another way to move them to the partition so that the new location becomes the default save location.

    EDIT: On 64-bit W7

This guide is for Vista, but it works for Windows 7 as well. :)

I wouldn't be conformtable editing the registry. If I use my Dell DataSafe Local BackUp discs, I understand that my system will be restored to factory settings but I could move my documents the way I did the first time using library>documents>my documents and changing location in the properties menu? Also, would I lose programs that came installed on my computer like office 2010 and lojack? I only have 3 or 4 new programs installed so I don't mind if I lose them but it's the pre-installed I'd be worried about.
