Anyone got a good contact up north for the supply of engineered oak flooring. I am after getting a few prices here in Galway and to me they are way too high...

I quite like the smoked oak flooring.

Thanks guys. That's the way we like to see it done - keeping names and contact details off the forum.

    Cheers. :)

PM's sent. I have a feeling oak flooring is to become very common, might have to rip it up? As addition it is down over underfloor heating and no issues to date.

Thanks for all the info folks.

Orginally we were going with walnut flooring but our neighbours have found it scratches way too easy so oak seems a better option.

i laid french brushed oak in a house with 3 kids and you cant see any scratches as it doesnt have a shiny finish on it.got it from a suppiler up north.was great value.

Any chance of a PM please?

Doing a bit of research myself at the minute.

The wider board solid oak is way too expensive so it looks like I'll be going for engineered oak

Thinking about engineered wideboard birch upstairs, g/f isn't keen on the knots in red deal, what are peoples opinions??
