Hi, at 6 this evening in d24 kitchen tap on full blast but no upstairs cold tap or cistern. Upstairs/downstairs hot was ok. Presumed it was water restriction so asked Sth Dub Co Co on Facebook and they replied pressure was not reduced till 7pm so must be a problem with plumbing in house. Have turned off oil heating and afraid to even try electric shower . Any ideas please? Co Co replied saying check tank in attic in morning when supply is on full. But could it be caused by restriction or is it another house problem??

It could be just an airlock on the bathroom supply. Have you another WHB downstairs to check the cold supply? If not check your attic storage tank to confirm its full. It should have water in it if you have hot.

Thank you, now I have to ask you how do I clear the bathroom airlock please?

But have you checked your cold supply elsewhere, or check that the storage tank is full?

Thank you again! You were right. Downstairs whb worked but splurted for a few mins then upstairs came back a bit spluttery at first. I can hear water coming into tank in attic too. :)

Thanks for the help in this and previous threads in relation to airlocks.

I am having a similar airlock problem with the low/lack of water pressure in Dublin which I thought had been resolved when I blocked the kitchen tap in order to unblock the airlock which was successful for a few days unfortunately, the problem seems to be persisting.

While both hot & cold taps are working in the kitchen, there is no water in the upstairs bathroom or triton shower and just wondering if anyone has any tips to resolve this issue?

    Thanks in advance
