Splitting the Leaving Cert over 2 years.

    Last Monday, I read in the Sports section of the Indo that swimmer Gráinne Murphy is splitting her Leaving Cert - she did some of the exams last year and the rest this year. I thought that a student cannot add the points they got last year and this year together.

    You can't, if Gráine Murphy said she could she's in for a bit of a shock. :pac:

    You can mix and match different years for matriculation requirements in most courses (you can't in medicine) AFAIK, but you can't combine points.

    You're right, You can't combine the points.


    But if you need certain subjects for a course, you can take the points from one sitting and the required subject grade from another sitting.



    imo stupid idea.

    If she's good at swimming, she's probably looking at a US scholarship where I doubt it matters.
