    anyone know is it feasible to power a 12v amplifier with a 24v psu without damaging the amplifier?

    No. If the current is limited to 1 amp and is maximum rated it could draw a higher voltage and damage any equipment connected to the amp never mind blowing the fuse or it going up in smoke. Bad idea.

    thanks both, that's one idea scrapped.

    what should my set up be to provide two seperate feeds, a house and a mobile home from the one aerial?

    I was intending to use two amps at the masthead but am concerned about feedback.

    If I use a high gain amp with two outputs will each feed recieve only half the rated gain?

    You only need one feed for the amp, it can come up either leg.

    The amp goes nect to the aerial and then goes to a splitter that can pass DC volts, then the two feed go to the two TVs, one has the PSU in the line.

    Aerial
    amp---splitter
    PSU
    TV
    ................................|
    TV

    OK?
