Teaching English in Spain - Experiences?

    Hey guys,

Quick question - have any of you ever taught English in Spain or know much about it? I'm looking at it as a possible option for around six months this year to improve my Spanish. I'd be looking to live somewhere where English is not widely spoken, possibly Seville or Cordoba or Granada. I lived in Granada while in college years back and loved it. Love Spain in general.

Anyone got any tips on the job situation for TEFL teachers in Spain at present or where I should look towards for info on getting certified, and any other info/advice?

    Cheers

Anyone? :) I'd be looking to have a job sorted up before going, I think there are companies/schools that can arrange that, combined with doing a TEFL cert I think?

I don't have any experience but I'm going over to Seville to do a TEFL course in April. After doing a lot of research, I don't think there are any places that will guarantee you a job as that'd be impossible, but they do help you to find work while you're training up. My sister lives over there and assures me that I should find work but I'm not getting my hopes up. I'd advise not tying yourself down to one place after your TEFL so that if something comes up in Madrid or Barcelona or somewhere then you're free to go!
