Left the bike (Giant FCR) out in the shed over Christmas, quite annoyed to discover the chain and casette are really rusted now!! Both were only bought in November, is there anything I can do to restore them?

Bit of a rub down with WD40 on a rag, works every time.

If its really stubborn rust then it'll shift with WD40 on some wire wool.

And then lube it after you've degreased it with the WD40
