Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

i was watchin the episode fire and water today and it reminded me of my theory that the alien in that could be from the furling. He is clearly advanced and talks about amoroka fighting the gould so hes obviously thousands of years old and as we know in the SG universe advanced aliens live long (the knox, the gould, the ancients and the asgard)through technology.

Just watched it too...... but that guy isn't small and furry!!!! Couldn't possibly be a Furling. :D

I am convinced the Furlings are the race in SGU who made solar systems and brought people back from the dead. It's what I was expecting to happen in the long run.

well makes sense, we know they were advanced although I always thought the ancients were the most advanced and I don't know why the writers would make an even more powerful race. While the ancients decided to ascend, maybe the Furlings battered on with advancing their technology, and overtook the ancients.

Well the KNOX could do some neat tricks too, they brought people back from the dead.
Looking back on it, The Asgard were quite **** compared to the rest. They just had technology.

Thats probably because the Asgard spent so much time cleaning up the mess left behind by the aincents that they didnt have enough time to develop funky magic brain powers. They seemed to be the only ones who gave a s**t about the rest of the universe.

He was a Babylonian or something. Lots of races are old, advanced and fight the Gould (sp) but they weren't necessarily in the alliance.

    Tallaght where are my legos?

He wasn't Babylonian but there was something about Babylon in that episode, his mate got separated from him, or went to Earth to fight the goa'uld during Babylon times?

Ehh yeah I know. She lived in the waters near Babylon and fought the Goa-ould. Then got gutted like a fish by the Goooooooooold. I was just pointing out that Goa-ould and Fish people aren't real but Babylon was a real city near Baghdad that was populated by human beings. So hence...... that fish woman is not Babylonian!

http://oannes.home.mindspring.com/oannesstory.html I think this is where the idea came from a being called Oannes which emerges from the water and teaches humans about technology, laws and construction according to Babylonian mythology.:)

Unfortunately i don't ever see Furlings being addressed. Just left for us to speculate. . . (apart from 200 of course)

Kinda off topic but theres a great pic of the furling from the 200 Ep dressed up as a Jaffa. Would have been cool to see them fight like that :D In unrelated news, I have that mask from the blue alien from Fire and Water on the way to me :)
