Can I replace netopia with a better router?

    Hi all.
I have Eircom 3mg with the standard supplied netopia wireless router, and the standard netopia usb key for my pc.

I know these products are not highly rated and probably the cheapest cr@p available so my question is can I replace this netopia stuff with better, say upgrade the whole lot to N. Also and I suppose most important at this stage am I right in my assumptions? Is it neccessary to replace the netopia products with anything else? If so I'd like a recommendation for a good router to use, with similar usb devices.

See, I recently discovered that I can read and play files on my telly directly from my pc, but there is occasional lag (as the files buffer I suppose).

The netopia is not at all as bad as many people often paint it - it depends on what you want to do with it. I know several people with it and they have never had any problem with it at all.

What exactly do you want the new router to do apart from the regular basic stuff? If you post that then people will be better able to help you hopefully.

Also remember that "n" is often not all is cracked up to be in the publicity for it.
