Tasker location contexts

    Hi,
I am planning to use the network based location in some of my profiles and I have a couple of questions which I hope someone can answer.

    1) One of my profiles has the following contexts
    - Days : Mon to Fri
    - Time: 9-5
    - Location: 1km of work
My understanding was that tasker checks these is the most power efficient manner. Thus I thought the location would not be checked unless the other two criteria were met. However over the weekend "maps" was taking up quite a bit of my battery usage even though I did not explicitly use maps and I did a force stop on it also but it still pops up. I am assuming tasker is using it as part of get the location? Perhaps not....

    2) If I have a number of profiles that use a location context will they all use the same location "check" or will each one check individually...thus wasting power?

    Thanks

I've been trying to work out why Maps is always running on my phone :o

Still not sure about this, why would tasker need to switch on maps to determine your location?
Looking under applications in settings, Maps seems to be running under the heading of Rate Places - Is this related to a recent Google Maps update rather than Tasker?

You are right, it probably isn't. I could not thing of anything else though. Before anyone else suggests it....I will disable the profile, kill maps and see if it starts up again. Assuming it will, I'll be in the dark.
