    Hi all,

We bought the Philips 7000 Series after christmas it has the Wi-fi media centre and Browse Net TV, but I don't want it wireless and have plugged in my ethernet connection, chose wired and nothing, its not finding anything, is there are other steps I can do to get this working.

Should I be talking to Philips or Eircom, I have a netopia router and it is plugged straight into that so I shouldn't see how there is a problem.

    Thanks in advance.

I've a Philips 8 series from last year (it doesnt have wireless). The wired connection worked no problem using my netgear (I say worked as I don't use the net stuff anymore). Check the web for firmware updates and you can see what firmware you have in the TV setup screens.

Check your TV network setup and make sure that 'wired' is selected. Also check if you are getting a 'link' light on your router when the ethernet cable is connected.
