hi there, at the moment im trying to make some plans for summer. one of the options is america on a j1 and i was hoping to get some feed back of others experiences and advice. Ideally Id like to work in some type of resort or hotel so that I can stay in staff accommodation saving myself the hassle and the costs. The Hamptons is one appealing option with lots of seasonal work required im sure. Is it difficult to find jobs here (literally as anything) as I know it is quite an exclusive destination . The US open (golf) is also being held on the 15thish of june for a couple of days so I was hoping the place would be even busier than usual. What other student summers have people done? and with the option of the j1 or any other suggestions how did the costs work out?
Really I would be grateful for any tips or insight that anyone can offer!
