So I browsing the Yoga Room's website and I noticed that they list levels for different classes...which is great.

I read through them and even though I've been a regular practitioner of yoga for 5 years, I couldn't really classify myself properly based on their descriptions but I guessed at level 2.

Then I was chatting to my yoga teacher and she said, in her experience, their level 2 meant being able to do an un-assisted headstand.
I am able to do headstands with some assistance but I rarely get to practice them since my class is always mixed ability and we often don't hit the more advanced poses like crab/headstands, etc.

So my point is: if this is the sort of thing they expect from their higher levels, how many people conform to this standard?

Well I can do unassisted headstand, but I know what you mean about most classes never getting to this pose. The scourge of the mixed ability open class...
