Hi i am getting my developers to do my shopping cart section at the moment and need to charge a rate for outside EIRE.

The goods will be shoes or boots so can vary in size. I am finding it hard to get info off the an post website as it goes by kilos 0.5, 1, 1.5 etc.

Has anyone come across a more concrete postage rate? Or anyone that you find better than An Post? They would be the handiest though as they come to Grafton Street for free for the shops.

I need to have the prices for the different countries but may end up losing out a lot depending on the item.

Weight will be the determining factor for your shoes/boots as they will all be classified as parcels by An Post I'd imagine. Perhaps weigh some boxed pairs to see how much they weigh and work it out from there.

Where are you going to be sending to and what kind of volume?

Yeah thats exactly what i done in the end, will be sending mostly to Ireland for free which only costs us 5e with An Post but UK/EU/US etc it costs a fortune so i just had to make 2 weight categories .5kilo for shoes and 2kilos for boots and take the hit if its over which is fine.

Very expensive to post anything abroad.
